The elevator is the manifestation of a night terror. The sculpture presents both an elevator and a coffin when laid flat. The elevator is hand-built and bisque fired to cone 10, painted with acrylics. The elevator has a few symbolic presentations that include “mal de Ojo” or evil eye to protect against misfortunes. This pendant is given to people for protection. The flowers grow from the elevator after passing. Human bodies feed the soil to grow plants (I chose roses to signify Catholic faith and the virgin Mary). The back of the elevator is the catholic faith, a painting of the sacred heart. Long-suffering yet not letting the trauma make me withdrawn.
